Potential New Member Orientation — Day 0: Friday, August 29th, 2025
All potential new members (PNM) must attend the in-person Potential New Member Orientation. This orientation will go over important topics for PNMs to learn about and understand before going through the recruitment process such as the benefits of membership, an overview of the recruitment process, expectations of membership, and frequently asked questions. This will also be where you will meet your Rho Gamma(s)!

Time: 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM

Spirit Day/Open House — Day 1 & 2: Saturday, August 30th AND Sunday, August 31st, 2025
The first round of primary recruitment is where potential new members (PNMs) will have the opportunity to meet each of the 8 sorority chapters. PNM’s will visit 4 sororities on Saturday and 4 on Sunday. Potential new members will also be shown chapter dues during this round so that they know how much each sorority costs. Each round will be 30 minutes. There will be many breaks throughout the day and an opportunity for an hour-long lunch break. The days start at 8:30 am and could end anywhere between 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm.
Philanthropy Day — Day 3: Monday, September 1st, 2025 (Labor Day/no classes)
Potential new members will get invited back to a maximum of 5 chapters where they will get the chance to learn about those chapters' philanthropies. Each round will be 45 minutes. There will be breaks throughout the day and an opportunity for a lunch break. The day starts at 8:45 am and could end at any time depending on each PNM’s individual schedule. The last round for the day will end at 7:45 pm at the latest.
Preference Day — Day 4: Saturday, September 6th, 2025
This is the most significant round. Potential new members can be invited back to a maximum of 2 chapters for this round where they will have more intimate conversations and get a glance at each sorority's ritual. Each round will be 60 minutes. After PNMs submit their final preferences at the end of the day, they will be provided their Bid Day shirt to wear the next morning. The day starts at 8:45 am and could end at any time depending on each PNM’s individual schedule. The last round for the day will end at 5:00 pm at the latest.
Bid Day — Day 5: Sunday, September 7th, 2025
Bid Day, Best Day! The day potential new members will find out which sorority offered them a bid to membership! Be sure to arrive excited and to wear your Panhellenic Bid Day shirt on this day. After you open your bid with your Rho Gamma group, you will get to run home to your brand-new sisterhood and get the opportunity to celebrate with everyone back at their recruitment spaces. The day starts at 9:45 am and ends when bid day celebrations conclude (early/mid-afternoon)!

Be a full-time (12 credit hours), undergraduate degree-seeking student at the University of Tampa.
Have a minimum of a 2.5 GPA (high school, transfer, or UTampa — whichever is most recent is taken into consideration).
Have not been initiated in an NPC sorority or international sorority at UTampa or another campus.
Students who were been initiated (at another University) into one of the 8 sororities available at UTampa should contact their sororities headquarters about transferring into the UTampa chapter. They should not go through the Recruitment process.
Follow the PNM Behavior Agreement throughout the Recruitment process:
Throughout the primary recruitment period, including bid day activities, as a PNM, you understand that the consumption of alcohol or other substances is not allowed by the College Panhellenic Association and could result in further consequences.
PNMs shall refrain from all communication with active affiliated Panhellenic chapter members outside recruitment events.
A PNM shall attend PNM Orientation and attend all membership recruitment events for which she receives invitations during the recruitment process.
Respect for the membership recruitment process is expected at all times. This includes respect towards chapter members, recruitment counselors, Panhellenic officers, faculty and staff, and other potential new members. PNMs should refrain from sexist, homophobic, racist, political, or otherwise abhorrent conversations.
Formal Recruitment Registration opens on Monday, June 2nd, 2025, the registration fee will be $45.00!
Recruitment applications will not be processed until the application fee is received. If you miss any registration material, we will send you a reminder email. Payment by debit or credit card is required at the time of registration. You cannot complete the registration process without paying the required registration fee. No cash or check will be accepted.
The College Panhellenic Association at The University of Tampa does not accept letters of recommendation for Panhellenic Primary Recruitment. We do not submit letters of recommendation to the chapters on the Potential New Member’s behalf.
However, please contact their National Headquarters directly if you would like to submit a letter of recommendation to one, some, or all of the chapters.
